Built by the Northern Pacific Brainerd Shops in 1967, these cars were some of the last 40’ boxcars to be built for the NP. Northern Pacific was a Class 1 Railroad formed in 1864, and eventually acquired in 1970 by Burlington Northern Railroad through mergers, which went on to merge with Santa Fe becoming BNSF.
