This meat reefer was built in October 1928 and repainted at East Chicago in July, 1931, for Jacob E. Decker & Sons of Mason City, Iowa. This car has billboard “DECKER” lettering on the roof. The J.E. Decker & Sons Meat Packer produced many brands of sausage, and competed with the Hormel Packing Company, run by George Hormel, a nephew of Jacob E. Decker.
