Built in late 1977 by Berwick Forge & Fabricating, this 60’ B63A-class excess height boxcar with Barber Roller Bearing trucks belonged to Conrail series 223001-223122, and had a capacity of 7,100 cubic feet. New York Central merged with its rival, the Pennsylvania Railroad, in 1968 to form Penn Central, which went bankrupt two years later and was merged into Conrail in 1976.
