This 36’ wood sheathed ice reefer with truss rod underframe is painted brown with white sides. It’s decorated with a gold, red and white logo, black lettering and white end print. It was built in August 1933 and runs on Bettendorf trucks. McDermott’s most notable brands were Senate Extra Pale and Burg Brau. Senate was an obvious reference to his political career which encompassed several terms in the Illinois State Senate.
