These 50’ standard box cars with single door are green with white lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. They were built in 1964 and feature a cushioned underframe to help prevent damage to cargo due to rough train handling. New York Central was a Class 1 Railroad founded in 1853 and operated until 1968, when it was merged with long-time rival Pennsylvania, to form Penn Central.
